1. Hire Period

* The standard hire period for all skips is 14 days from the date of delivery.
* Additional charges may apply if the skip remains on hire beyond the agreed 14-day period.

 

2. Placement of Skip

* Where the customer requests or authorises the placement of a skip on private property (including driveways, gardens, pathways, parking areas, or any other land under their control), the customer does so at their own risk.
* The customer is responsible for ensuring that the chosen location is suitable for the weight of both the skip and the delivery/collection vehicle.

 

 

3. Damage to Property

* By authorising the placement of a skip on private property, the customer accepts full responsibility for any damage caused to the property by the skip, delivery vehicle, collection vehicle, or associated equipment.
* The skip hire company shall not be liable for any damage to driveways, paving, block paving, tarmac, concrete, lawns, underground services, drainage systems, manhole covers, walls, fences, gates, kerbs, or any other part of the property arising from the delivery, placement, use, or collection of the skip.

 

4. Heavy Vehicle Disclaimer

* The customer acknowledges that skip delivery and collection vehicles are heavy goods vehicles and may cause surface damage, subsidence, cracking, marking, or other damage even where reasonable care is taken.
* No liability will be accepted for such damage where the customer has granted permission for vehicle access or for the placement of the skip on private property.

 

5. Access

* The customer must provide safe, suitable, and adequate access for delivery and collection vehicles.
* Any damage, loss, delay, or additional costs arising from restricted, unsuitable, or inadequate access shall be the responsibility of the customer.

 

6. Indemnity

* The customer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the skip hire company, its employees, and contractors against any claims, losses, damages, costs, or liabilities arising from the placement of the skip on private property with the customer’s permission.

7. Acceptance of Terms

* By booking a skip, providing delivery instructions, or permitting access to private property, the customer confirms that they have read, understood, and accepted these Terms & Conditions in full.

Important Notice:
Once permission has been given for a skip or delivery vehicle to enter or be placed on private property, all responsibility for any resulting damage rests with the customer. The skip hire company accepts no liability for damage to surfaces, structures, underground services, or any other property caused during delivery, placement, hire, or collection.
